Hope your all having a great week so far!
I’ve had a chance to review some of my latest new products and put them in my top 5 hotpicks for the month. Some I love already however some I am still trying to figure some out. I’m going to keep using them over the month to see if my opinion changes and I’ll let you know. There’s nothing worse them buying something then twice or three times later regretting it and not being able to return.
Here are my Top 5 picks for March 2016!
1.Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Instant Tan
Price: £7.99 Buy from:Superdrug.com
I very rarely use instant tan unless I’m going out for a night on the Toon! I’ve seen this promoted by Kylie Jenner and in the high street shops everywhere so decided to give it a go. I love it! Firstly it doesn’t have a horrible smell like a few cheaper instant tan’s I have used but for me the best thing about it is how soft it leaves my skin! It almost feels like I’ve moisturised my skin after.
This tan does what it says on the tin, its takes roughly an hour to develop and for me it goes a lovely golden brown colour rather than orange. Its not too dark, however I did get the Light shade as I’m very pale naturally. It stays on for roughly 3-4 days for me and has a nice fade. Not too obvious looking. Definitely recommend!
2. Maybelline Matte Maker Mattifyer Powder
Price: £3.99 Buy From: Boots.com
As per my previous post I explained I picked this up after seeing so many MUA having it in their kit. I’ve been using this over my everyday make up. It has a matt finish and makes my foundation stay for the majority of the day. It stops any oily look which I can sometimes get if I’m having a tough day running around everywhere. And for so cheap you can’t go wrong. I totally see why everyone has it in their kit. If your looking for a matt powder you should pick this up if your not able to splurge.
3. MAC: Extra Dimensions Eye Shadow:
Price: £16.00 Buy From Maccosmetics.co.uk
I love all Mac eyeshadows…..Who Doesn’t! This not only looks beautiful but is also highly pigmented, very easy to blend and crease resistant. I am really impressed with not only the colour but the finish. I want to buy all the shades. I think because it has a velvet consistency that may the reason it doesn’t have too much fall out which is an extra bonus.
A bit on the expensive side but totally worth it! 5 out of 5 for me!
4. L’Oréal Paris: Infallible Mega Gloss
Shade: Matt Finish 405-The Bigger the Better
Price: £6.99 Buy From Boots.com
So I’ve tried this a few times now and I’m still undecided on this product. First things first. I love the colour! Its so bright as you can see on my Instagram pics and there are lots of shades, there’s something for everyone.
I picked up the Matt version, there are a few different versions but the Matt does last a long time. However, I do not like the new applicator, its messy and as I have small lips I find it difficult to make a neat finish.
I went for dinner with this and buy the main dish the lipgloss was all over my face! so does smudge really easy. I guess for the price its great but I’ll probably use another gloss on a night out so I don’t look ridiculous when I’m drunk with lipgloss all over my face!
5. L’Oréal Paris: Studio Secrets Smoothing Resurfacing Primer
Price £14.39 Buy From Boots.com
I’ve tried a few primers but not by L’Oréal. I usually use it from a tube however this is a tube so a little strange to have to scoop out and I was a little unsure how much to use a first. After my first application my skin felt instantly smoother and silky and couldn’t stop touching my face! I didn’t notice too much different from other primers I’ve used in the past.
After my second application I found that it accentuated my dry patches and left my feel conscious of my skin all day which is such a disappoint as I heard so many positive comments about this. I’m going to try and use it again as it may be a seasonal change in my skin. The packaging is cute and I can say that it wasn’t greasy at all which is a bonus!
