This year I had the best all inclusive break away with my loved one. I could not have picked one complaint about the whole week away……and I’m a woman who likes a good old winge!
We booked through Thomas Cook and where as I would normally book things separately. This time I wanted something quick and easy!
This was our first time on the island of Lanzarote and we decided to stay in the resort of Costa Teguise on the East side of the island only 10 mins away from the airport. Costa Teguise is known for its watersports and now I see why! Although I’m no watersport gal, it was nice to wake up, go on the balcony and watch all the windsurfers strut their stuff!
Lanzarote Hotels
LaWe stayed in the SunConnect HD Beach Resort Aqua and Spa. We got a great price and were thrilled when we arrived to see exactly what a great deal we had.
The hotel has recently had a refurb and was located on the beachfront. It has a bay of its own that has watersports every day from you to choose from. Within the hotel itself it had several restaurant and bar areas, gym, spa and 2 pool areas.
The staff were extremely helpful and offered us loads of activities, its great for families and small children. We ventured out most days and walked into the centre for a drink or food a few minutes walk away. The resort is not too large and everything is easy to get to and find.
We visited aquarium on day which was great! They have lots of sea animals that have been rescued including sharks. its not the most modern but I was happy to pay knowing that the money went to a good cause to research more into marine species. You have to go and meet the turtles that have no back legs and missing fins. They are adorable!
Lanzarote Seafront
Along the seafront Costa Teguise has some lovely little shops and modern restaurants of all costs, so there’s plenty to choose from and if your a seafood lover your in for a treat! If your looking for a good night out head to the main square where there’s plenty of bars to choose from, they also host lots of live singers so the atmosphere is great! People travel from all over the island to go to Hook’s cocktail bar and I can assure its worth it! way to easy to have more than one or two and have to be carried home!
Heading back to the hotel I spent plenty of time in the spa. I’ve been to many spa’s for the day and this one beats some of them and…it was free (if it’s pat of your package). Also wanted to mention the massage I got was lovely!
We took a trip up into the mountains and the original capital of Lanzarote “Teguise”. We visited the market on a Sunday. I would say the market is a MUST, its very big and really good deals as well as lovely food. We booked through a travel company offering trips which are very cheap but there’s loads you choose from and its very easy to travel around the island if you were thinking of hiring your own car.
As the week drew to an end it’s safe to say my trip was the most relaxed of the year and I’m looking forward to booking up again the all inclusive deal through Thomas Cook. Is December too early to go back? Haha
