Located on the banks of the River Tyne overlooking the Tyne Bridge, The Hilton Newcastle Gateshead really does have the best view in the whole of the Toon!
Last weekend I joined some of the other NEBloggers at The Hilton Newcastle Gateshead for a girly spa night, cocktails and dinner. The perfect location for a get together with everything all under one roof.
The Hilton Newcastle Gateshead is found on the Gateshead side of the river giving the perfect views of Newcastle and its quayside. Just a short stroll over the bridge you’ll find yourself in the city centre, perfect location for shopping, bars and sightseeing.
The customer service was excellent from the minute we checked in. Upon my arrival in my room I was greeted by a text asking how everything was. I loved that little extra touch making me feel extra special. My room opened up over The Tyne Bridge and The Swing Bridge, it was the nicest view in Newcastle and looked equally amazing at night.
My room was very spacious and had a side section with large desk making it very easy for me to be distracted and get on with work but I managed to pull myself away from that thank god! But seriously, for business trips its a great room to relax and get on with any work that’s needed to be done. The bed was very big, too big for 1 but big enough for two with space left over. The rooms were clean and very well presented with modern bathrooms and even a bath.
After checking in we hit the spa. It was rather busy with couples and familes in the gym, Jacuzzi and pool. Its a popular destination for kids swimming classes which in my opinion puts me off going to a spa as I find it hard to relax but without the kids its a perfect haven for relaxation. There are a number of loungers around the pool and a tropical shower, steam room and sauna.
Once we were pampered we headed back to our rooms to get ready for dinner and drinks.
The Hilton Newcastle Gateshead have launched their new cocktail lists and we were lucky enough to sample some of them. My favourite was the Strawberry Daiquiri. The menu showcases some of the most popular cocktails so its guaranteed to offer something you’ll like. After sampling the cocktails we headed upstairs to the Executive Lounge.
The Executive Lounge offers the perfect place to relax with a selection of drinks and canapés to eat. The area has two floors with panoramic views of the Tyne.
The perfect day was rounded off by the perfect evening and dinner in the Windows on the Tyne restaurant.
The menu offers a great selection of starters, mains and extras for sharing or for one. I had the steak and it was amazing! The service was impeccable and attention to detail was great, making it one of my recommendations for the perfect business meeting or date night!
One nights stay is priced from £109.00 based on two sharing but you can find it cheaper by either booking in advance of checking other sites. I have stayed here in the past with my family and visited the spa many times, its the perfect place to meet everyone with such a central location. One of my top hotels in Newcastle, Gateshead and the North East!
