Top 3 Drugstore Foundations

Top 3 Drugstore Foundations

It’s not all the time I can afford high end brands, especially when my skin changes and I’m in need of something quick.

There can be so many ways your skin can change, tan, no tan, spots, change of season meaning dry or oily skin and then there’s hormones!!!!

I find that at times I need to buy a new foundation and whilst I have my high end favourites, I cant always afford an average of £30 per foundation each time. I’ve figured out now that I don’t need to!

You can buy amazing drugstore foundations at half the price and the high street is doing an amazing job at bringing out more and more choice for all skin types. So, with that being said I thought I’d bring you my top 3 drugstore foundations.

1.L’Oréal Infallible 24Hhour Matte Foundation

Often on 3 for 2 at Boots.com, this foundation comes in 7 shades. This foundation promises a matte, long lasting finish. I’ve used this several times not only on myself but on my friends when doing make up. Because it’s so cheap I’m able to buy many shades and the shades are so versatile you should be able to match your skin colour. Online this foundation says it is waterproof and steamproof. I must say, when applying this foundation with powder on top it truly does last all day without the cakey look.

Cost: £7.99

2. L’Oréal Infallible Total Cover Foundation

Similar to the above foundation, this one offers to be 30% more pigmented, meaning you an use less of it to stay on for the same amount of time. Again in 7 shades. The difference with this foundation is simply the coverage. This foundation will cover anything from blemishes to tattoos, so great if you need to cover something up for one night so you can wear THAT dress, or for work if you need to cover tattoos.

Cost: £9.99

3.Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation

I really do love this range. I have the concealer and its full coverage and light weight and I have to say the foundation is too! This foundation mattifies and blurs the pores, great for those with large pores, dull and dry skin. This foundation comes in an amazing 24 shades and ideal for normal to oily skin.

Cost: £5.99

There you have my top 3. As you can see these are all full coverage, matte foundations. I’m going to try out some drugstore lightweight, luminous foundations for the summer so stay tuned for my post!

      Hi Jane,

I always try it on my hand and if it doesn’t blend, ill go for a lighter colour as that ways I can bronze and add colour with other products. You can always mix products r their similar too to get the right shade
