While our self-esteem should never rely on external factors or compliments from anyone else in our lives, it is occasionally pleasing to hear the phrase above uttered. Even if we are dressing and tailoring our look to suit ourselves. Of course, gorgeous is a relative term, and it’s different from everybody. But below you will find some areas in which you could try something new, so you feel your very best self, for yourself.
Trying new things with our lip can be a little scary. After all, it’s so easy to get into to a nice safe routine with that one lipstick that we know suits our skin tone and goes with everything. But if you do this, there is a world of lip beauty out there that you are missing out on.
Instead, why not dump your old favourite lipstick and go for something a little more out of the box? Currently, there is a great trend in ombre lips where you have two shades gradually blended together to give you a plumping effect. Just ensure that you have the darkest colour on the outside.
Or if you really want to push the boat out why not go for a full glitter lip? More suitable for the disco than the office, is a bold statement. One that is bound to draw attention to your lips and make your feel like the gorgeous goddess that you are.
Getting out of your routine with your skin can be tough. This is because it’s not only familiar, but it may be what you have been doing for years to prevent breakouts and skin issues like rosacea and acne.
However, it’s worth bearing in mind that as our skin ages it changes. That means what you use in your teenage years, will; probably not be suitable in your thirties.
As a general rule, the older you get the more focus you should pout on anti-aging and anti- wrinkle products and treatments. That means in practice using a slightly heavier moisturiser when you hit 30 than the one you use when you were twenty and so on.
It’s also a great idea, as you get older, to start going for regular facial treatments like wrinkle fillers, and salon spa facials to minimise the effect of aging. As this will allow you to feel gorgeous no matter what age you are.
Lastly, why not try something new with your eyes? This could include using a different shade of eyeshadow that you normally would. Or really getting to grips with the techniques of how to apply it, so it makes your eyes pop.
To do this remember to use a darker shadow in the crease of your eye and a lighter one on the inside corner of the lid.
You can even use a little dash of a pearlescent white eyeshadow right against the inner corner of the eye. As this will ensure they look as open as possible, something that will help you always look gorgeous whether you are at work, or on a night out.#Ad
