There is so much hype about The Ordinary that I simply couldn’t avoid buying and trying, especially for my Rosacea skin.
I have hesitated for a while due to my Rosacea and the most talked about products from this range contain acid of some sort. Some people say that’s OK to use for sensitive skin and others say HELL NO!
For me, I’m not gonna take the risk and so I picked the 100% Plant-derived Squalane serum and the Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10%. Both of these products avoid the acid base no matter how little is in it and focus on natural product for my skin. You can read more here at bareluxe about the benefits of natural and vegan skincare. They should also know how synthetic and acid-base products can be hazardous.
For me, I need skincare that focuses on the calming my skin and providing hydration to my dry T-Zone. Now that you know more about my skin, let’s get onto the products lol.
The Ordinary are a brand made by Deciem who have took social media by storm. You can see why by looking at the elegant and beautiful packaging! Simple yet effective and very clinical looking.
You’d be surprised at the price of the products, both items were under £10 and all of the products in this range are affordable, even the high concentrated acid based products. Great for all skin types including Rosacea.
Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10% for rosacea
This moisture is designed to hydrate and brighten your skin. What’s best is its also cruelty free and alcohol skin and kind on the skin. It contains Vitamin C, the ingredients to help brighten skin amongst other ingredients that are effective in a water based moisturiser. The only set back is that it comes in 30ml, I would love a bigger tube but for £7.80 you cannot complain for such a high end cream you would NOT expect to find on the high street.
100% Plant-Derived Squalane
This is a lightweight based hydrating serum with natural plant extracts. It’s important for me that it is silicone free as my skin does not react well with silicone based products. Also, it allows the product to be absorbed and hydrate the skin. The serum boasts is suitable for all skin types, helps your skin to keep in the hydration it needs. Again a 30 ml bottle however for a serum a price of £5.50. Price is fab and will definitely be repurchasing.
I’m glad I took the time to read about the products and was able to find something that suitable. This shows that this brand is able to meet the needs of many skin types. I recommend you speak to an adviser to see what best suits your skin.
