Planning your travels can often be a lot of fun. Not only do you get to head to a new and interesting destination, but you get to experience a lot of new things. So, when you’re heading to a location that you’ve always wanted to see, you want to make sure that you don’t miss a thing. This is definitely the case when it comes to Hong Kong. This infamous Asian destination has so much to offer. From the culture and the history to the sights, food and even the attractions, there’s a lot that you’re going to want to cover off. So, here’s how to make sure you plan your Hong Kong trip right.

Getting There

First of all, you’re going to want to make sure that you make the right arrangements for getting there. Hong Kong is a long haul destination. So, you’re going to want to plan a flight time that suits your travel needs. Many of these will take at least 14 hours, and some times as long as 16 hours. This is because there will be a stop over in between, often in somewhere like Germany or the Middle East. So, you need to look at the options for the dates you’re looking to travel and decide where you might like to stop over in between.

Where To Say

With your flight path, times, and dates sorted, you’re then going to want to think about your accommodation. Heading to Hong Kong will fill you with lots of different thoughts and the first that you need to work out is where you are going to stay. Depending on what you want out of the trip, you might want a Tsim Sha Tsui hotel or an apartment in Central. Either way, you need to work out what you want to be near to the most and then decide. Hong Kong has a lot to offer, so make sure you choose a neighborhood based on your interests.

What To See

Now that the main details of your trip are sorted, you might like to think about the things you’re going to see. Because when you’re in Hong Kong, there are a lot of attractions to draw you in. First of all, you have the amazing Hong Kong Disneyland which is great if you love all things Disney or you have little ones on the trip with you. There’s also the Ocean Park theme park, Ngong Ping 360 for retail and entertainment, and of course the Lantau Island for a dose of history and culture.

Where To Eat

Before you head off on your travels, you may also want to think about the places that you’d like to eat. Cantonese cuisine really does come alive in its native Hong Kong, so you’re going to want to make sure that you hit the best restaurants while you’re there. To start off your list, consider The Verandah Restaurant if you’re after something special, or the cool and casual One Dim Sum Chinese Restaurant.

With flights, accommodation, sights, and food ticked off, all that’s left to do is pack for your trip, sit back and enjoy it!
