Last week exclusive invitations to join John Lewis in their Beauty Retreat were sent out and I was lucky enough to be invited. Of course I was not going to say no!
The invite invited us to join the beauty counters and retreat to explore the services they provide and experience hem for ourselves. I was really looking forward to this as a mid week break after work. Having walked through John Lewis several times before, I was still unsure to what brands and services they had.
The John Lewis Beauty Retreat
The Beauty Retreat is based on the ground floor in the Intu Eldon Square branch. It’s perfectly situated amongst the other skincare and beauty brands and provides a perfect haven for relaxation. They provide services from experts and a range of beauty services. Not all John Lewis Retail stores have a Beauty Retreat so Newcastle is lucky.
The event started well with a live acoustic singer carrying on into the end of the event, he was great! There was a selection of drinks and a very impressive selection of canapés and macaroons.
The event was well organised. Two different groups were given the opportunity to explore and experience services from different counters. This made it fair for everyone to get around at once.
Inside the retreat there was different services to experience provided from brands such as Clarins, Liz Earle, Blink Brown Bar, Elemis and Decleor.
Although the treatments were not in full, it was good to experience what different brands had to offer. Clarins is situated upstairs in the retreat and is spread across one floor. Once there you feel further away from the hustle and bustle of the store and can truly relax in one of their many treatments rooms.
What brands are inside John Lewis?
Just outside the retreat doors were hand massages by Jessica nails too! There were so many options to choose from or you could have them all!
Outside the retreat brands were offering tutorials and demonstrations including giving free advice and goodies.
I loved seeing the new bubble oxygen mask from Clinique and exploring the new products by GHD. They even styled my hair for me. I know exactly what is going on my xmas list now! Some of the girls were giving a smoky eye look by Nars and I opted for a consultation at Chanel. Even came away with a cult favourite red lipstick.
The event was busy but not hectic and it was lovely seeing everyone enjoy themselves and relaxing. The staff were lovely and I enjoyed chatting to them throughout the night.
Towards the end of the event, John Lewis Staff announces the winners of the prize raffles and 3 prized to due for. Unfortunately I was not one of them however it was lovely seeing other bloggers guest win them!
John Lewis has a lot to offer in terms of its services and counters and I cant wait to get back and visit the girls for another event.
