Last month I returned back to my favourite city Liverpool, except this time with a different hotel experience. Unlike my last visit, this time I was with my partner and looking for a luxury, romantic hotel to stay in. At the same time we were looking for somewhere central too.
The Liverpool Marriott is in the perfect location, exactly across the road from Liverpool Lime Street train station and a stones through from the shops and Liverpool One.
The Hotel Rooms
We stayed in the superior room and were not disappointed. It certainly lives up to it’s 4* rating.
The room was huge never mind the bed. I have to admit the bed for me was the best bed I have ever slept in. That says a lot as I’ve stayed in many hotels before. Its big enough to fit 3 in a bed never mind 2.
The whole room was very clean and the service was great for fresh towels and anything else we could have asked for. You can even buy the bed linen if you wanted to.
We had a flat screen TV, BOSE sound system and coffee station available in our room. I loved how big the room was, we had lots of room to move around and put all my shopping!
The bathroom was some size too, I loved the classic tiles floor and was even more impressed by the Jacuzzi bath! You get great branded products to use in the bathroom too.. I could have comfortably stayed here fore more than two days, it had a great work station for business guests so maybe I’ll go back and blog from there fore the week haha.
The Hotel Spa
The hotel also has a spa on the ground floor and was very busy with hen do, friends and family over the weekend we visited. The spa was clean and also has a gym, steam and sauna room. A perfect place to take time out and forget your in the busy city.
We stayed for a weekend and had the best time! We went out for some drinks in the many bars Liverpool has to offer and was treat to the amazing breakfast in bed!
Delivered to our door on time we tasted the full array of what they had to offer. I felt like a princess and must admit I didn’t want to get out of bed. But because I love Liverpool so much I had to pay a visit to the shops and the Albert Docks.
The hotel customer service did not disappoint. On all of my trips to the city I’ve never been disappointed with staff and although some of the staff members were no directly from there they were very polite and I couldn’t have asked for anything more! Oh, and I HAVE to mention the amazing art work in the reception. A whole map of Liverpool drawn out across the walls, its brilliant!
The Hotel Brew Bar Lounge AKA The Food
We decided to dine in the hotel Brew bar lounge one night and I was very surprised. The environment looks like a bar rather than a formal dining experience however the menu was very impressive!
Not only did we taste their gin cocktails which were brilliantly made but the food was delicious.
The menu is very varied and we really enjoyed the camembert. I had steak but they also had burgers and fish and chips. The menu was clever and has “substantial” dishes and “not so substantial” dishes such as salads. So plenty of choice and all at great prices especially as it was hotel food.
Have you been to Liverpool before? There’s still so many places in still to check out, I hope I’m visiting again soon. let me know your best places to go out in Liverpool and I’ll add them on to my next to do list when I’m back again!
Don’t worry if you looking for somewhere alternative to stay then check out this post:
