This Christmas, Tyne Theatre and Opera House presents its famous Panto and brings us Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs.
Hopefully I don’t need to tell you the story behind the title…..but briefly Snow White is poisoned by her wicked stepmother……OK I wont ruin it for you haha.
The Tyne Theatre has brought together a brilliant cast for the most hilarious Geordie pantomime ever!
That’s a bold statement but trust me, you will need your tissues for this from laughing so hard! From adult jokes to slapstick humour there is something for everyone!
Last night I attended the press open night to see what was in store and your not going to be disappointed. As a keen Theatre lover I was apprehensive about a Panto but took the kids and thought I’d give it a go. I thought it would be a little cheesy, of that it was but cheese heaven!
Panto: The Cast
The cast were perfect and worked so well together, there was even a few mix ups between them and laughs which infected the audience to make it even more funnier! that’s the beauty about panto…you never know what’s going to happen!
The kids loved it! Sam’s favourite was the COOL guy Prince Collabro played by the Matt Pagen from Collabro. Safe to say that guy can sing!
Penny’s favourite was Snow White of Course, played by the lovely local girl Robyn McEnaney. She was beautiful and perfectly picked for the part.
For me…I couldn’t pick my favourite but the show wouldn’t be such a success without Mr muddles of course Charlie Richmond strike again and the kids just LOVE him. Then of course Danny Posthill as Dame Dotty Donut…what a treat! I didn’t expect to be treat to such talents and jokes. Then one final mention goes to Lewis Denny, Herman the Henchman. Wicked Sidekick to the brilliant Evil Queen Michelle Heaton! Both played brilliant parts and Michelle really surprised me with her acting skills. She was brilliant…a true villain!
That’s enough of me talking about the show, I don’t want to give too much away without saying you MUST go and see this. I cant wait for next year when Enchanted Productions brings us Cinderella 2018!
