Last week my blogging dreams came true and I got to meet the lady who motivated me, Victoria from InTheFrow.
She finally made the trip to Newcastle to see is fans and talk to us about her summer styles. I was very lucky to grab a ticket as they were very limited and it was lovely attending a small intimate event and getting a chance to briefly talk to her but also catch up with other bloggers Melissa, Amy, and Shannon.
Victoria joined us on stage with the head of French salon of Fenwicks and showcased her favorite pieces for summer. Ideal dresses for wedding or occasions.
I thought very quickly about his, I was at an event that was showcasing designer clothes. I couldn’t ever fit in these even if I had all the money in the world. However, that doesn’t that mean I cant wear the trend of look as good?
Absolutely not! As I looked around the audience there were women of all sizes and shapes, so I thought what better post to do then find plus size duplicates.
Just because we are plus size doesn’t mean we cannot be “fashionable” or get the InTheFrow style. Because god knows I want her style…and wardrobe!
InTheFrow designer dress vs Plus Size Dresses
First up I found a brilliant dupe for this stunning floral maxi dress from Self Portrait. This floral printed cold shoulder dress is beautifully detailed with ruffles and pleats. The yellow is on trend for the summer and the lilac really sets of that yellow shade. The designer dress costs £420.
This dress is perfect for a summer wedding. I would even wear this for the races may be of an afternoon tea/girl night with cocktails but it’s all about how you would dress it up or down.
I found this dupe from Simply Be goes up to a size 26 and just like the designer has the ruffles and the cold shoulder. it also has the floral detail and costs £39.00
Next up was another Self Portrait dress that Victoria recently wore In Cannes. This dress is stunning. I love navy, you can wear it with so many other colours and really does suit every skintone. The mesh detailing on this gives a sultry yet elegant look. The off the shoulder detail is also flattering for all sizes and shapes and gives that extra girly feeling.
Designer cost £340.00
I found this simple yet effective dress similar but to be honest there are so many equally as nice navy dresses. I love the detail on the shoulder so had to stick with that on this Boohoo dress. Cost £16.00 currently with 20% off.
The net designer is called Rixo and they formed together at Asos and have branched on to do their own thing. They are young, quirky and have an epic taste for tailoring.
Victoria showcased 2 of their dresses. First one was this navy print with constellations. It has a lovely slit up the front and can be such a statement piece not just for a wedding but I think you can wear this all year round. This on is £315.
I really loved this one. For me I would wear this for lunch, to drinks, cocktails, parties, you name it! InTheFrow gets it spot on every time!
I found a dress that I found Joanie Clothing but hurry it’s nearly sold out!
Last but not least, I managed to found a replica, but I like it more. The other Rixo dress we were shown was this stunning white floral dress. You couldn’t dream of any nicer colours in this dress. Cost £305.
I found this similar dress on Asos Curve.
Asos Curve goes up to a 28 and this, as you can see, is £30.00. Lightweight and perfect for the summer.
I haven’t so far managed to find other similar enough dresses for the other designs but nevertheless. I can appreciate designer fashion and I love the whole fairytale mesh theme that we are wearing this summer.
It was lovely to meet InTheFrow and she lived up to every bit of niceness that comes across on her channel!
Thanks for tuning in!
