This year I went back to my fave city Liverpool for TCFF 2018! I was also lucky enough to stay at the Novotel again too!
Last year was a whirlwind and I never really got much time to spend in the hotel. But this year has taken it out of me and I spent most of the time apart from being at the event, in the hotel! I took full advantage of the long weekend and the opportunity to relax!
We arrived on Friday and had an amazing meal at the restaurant Ropewalks before deciding to Head into the pool for a late night dip! We wanted to prep for the next day and the had the pool all to ourselves. I was happy to see that it was just like last time and really clean!
Liverpool is fab! I can’t say it enough but it’s just like home. the people are so friendly and the staff at the reception always make an effort to start a conversation with you so we had some good chats and a great welcome. I’ve been back to this hotel for food on a separate occasion during the year so 3 out of 3 times the staff and welcome were fab I really want to make that point because it’s not just because I’m a blogger!
Our rooms were super comfortable and we had a lovely welcome note and cake as an added gesture! It made my day! First thing first, we ordered breakfast for the next day! We stayed in the twin room and I must say I love the size of the beds. They are bigger than singles and enough rooms to spread out!
On Saturday, we made ourselves up, with full bellies of amazing breakfast in bed and headed to The Curve Fashion Festival.
The event was a long day! The venue was too small to host everyone and there was not enough seating for people to stop and chat. I loved the talks they had on and enjoyed meeting Hayley Hasselhoff again this year. It was nice to meet people I have been speaking to for years. And finding out which hotels and restaurants they reviewed. I also enjoyed meeting the brands and seeing what they had to come but had to wait until the end of the day to have room to look around and I was very disappointed with that. They have taken this on board however and are looking for another venue next year. By the end of the day, I was exhausted and the last thing I wanted to do was go out dancing. I just couldn’t physically do it.
That’s why more than ever I was so thrilled I was staying back at the Novotel. It’s central and is next to the shop’s and car park and easy to get to even though it’s in the city centre. mt and m bestie decided to have a girly night in and relax. When you get over 30 it’s ok to relax 2 nights in a row and stay in the hotel.
The Novotel is perfect for all occasions, we have stayed when we were partying and stayed to relax oo! It has something for everyone and at great prices too! What’s better is the amazing food and POOL!
