The launch of Christmas has begun with Intu Eldon Square and I joined them for the Impossible Gift event.
It’s officially Christmas time ladies and gents!
The event was held at the beautiful Thai restaurant Chaophraya. It’s the most stunning place to eat not just in Eldon Square but in Newcastle offering the best views over the monument. I’ve dined there before and it’s the perfect place for special occasions. The event, in particular, was held in the private dining room which is beautiful. Please see my review here for more information on the wonderful restaurant.
The lovely staff at Intu and OPR put together a wonderful event for us and we sampled some of the most popular dishes whilst digging into a goody bags which gave us more of a clue about the event.
The goody bag was filled with some fave picks and an extra gift card on the side to complete our mission:
The Impossible Gift!
What do you buy the person who has everything? Or the person that doesn’t want or like anything?
I decided this year I would give the gift of HYGGE! If you don’t know what this is then it is Danish word for being cosy and comfortable!
I had £50 to spend throughout the Intu Stores and find the impossible gift.
I first took a trip to Intu Eldon Square and decided to, first of all, get comfortable and what better way than with Marks and Spenser PJ set and socks!
For me, getting cosy is about self-care too! So I paired my impossible gift with a nail pamper set and some Origins face masks!
The end of the night was rounded up by a fab group exercise. The infamous Katherines Florists joined us. They taught us how to decorate the perfect gift box for an added personal touch at Christmas time. Trust me it wasn’t easy!
I was pretty impressed with how mine turned out compared to the real deal but it takes longer. And, I forgot to wrap the finished product too! but the ladies were on hand to guide us along the way and were super nice too! Katherines Florists do classes too and one of our group won a place on their popular reef making course which was almost sold out!
I really enjoyed this intimate event and having to go hunting for the impossible gift after! We are so lucky in Newcastle to have INTU Eldon Square and the Metrocentre too! Once I got home after the event I was soooo happy with my goody bag and opened my candles straight away! We have also gifted some lovely sweets and these amazing homemade biscuits from Fenwicks made at the local branch! I love that we have a Fenwicks that do local produce too!
If you were to buy the impossible gift what would you buy?
