Feel Confident In Joanie Clothing

I love exploring Joanie Clothing plus size pieces. It’s great that they go up to a size 22.

I am always looking for brands that have my size. But, I have to admit sometimes I get bored with the same old designs at the same shops. When I discovered Joanie clothing I also discovered confidence I never had and a new style that I LOVE.

When I started to explore the “vintage” look and 50’s style I noticed there was lots of inspiration. If you have a look you will see so many women and brands that supply this style. One thing I noticed was the confidence! The elegance that comes from this style. You cannot ignore it.

I for one feel so onfident when im wearing Joanie Clothing. And so many people ompliment me on what i’m wearing! Not to mention the quality of the clothes are amazing and keep me going back!

But why does this style make curvy or plus size women feel confident?

Well, let’s not forget that the ’50s was when women started to gain independence and could finally dress how they wanted too. Designers were paving the way for the fashion industry as we know it!

In a brief explanation, the NEW LOOK of the ’50s was a mature and glamorous look and always co-ordinated. And so, what plus size woman doesn’t want to feel glam?

Women had more choice of fabrics to choose from as designers started to brand themselves and thus we see so much choice of patterns and colours! The majority of the looks from the 50’s were skirts, either a slim fit pencil skirt or a full skirt that comes in at the waist. So no matter what size you were, that was your look.

This look for example. Joanie Clothing Plus size dress in polka dot is the perfect slim fit dress. It has an elegan shoulder detail showing off just a little skin keeping it flirty yet elegant.

At this time of fashion towards the 60’s we started to become more confident and wanted to break away from that conform to having to look feminine. They started to wear loose clothes and start to dress differently from their parents for once.

I find that the Joanie Clothing tops are so popular but why! I love the boxy shape they have and the neckline. They keep that feminine look at the same time as being loose and with the bright colours too!

I just love this stripe top with the cute little frenchie on it! Go have a look and see which one is your fave!

Fast forward to the present. We have different styles on the high street that we feel as plus size women we cannot wear (forget the fact that they don’t sell it in your size) But with 50’s style, we can! And we can look sexy, fun and flirty!

I freaking LOVE Joanie! They’ve got some great quirky pieces and, like you say, they cater to plus size ladies, so for me, as someone who sways between mid-size and plus size, they’re perfect! I’ve got my eye on a few bits and bobs from them at the minute, so I may have to treat myself after reading this.
