I am always looking for new places for lunch in Newcastle. Sometimes some of the best places for lunch are the ones you visit every week and right under your nose.

Revolution is the place I always go for cocktails, it’s been a while since I’ve been for food or lunch. The last time I visited was over a year ago for the bottomless brunch.
But if you’re looking for something a bit quicker or lighter than I tried some amazing things.
Grazers for Starters
With 13 different grazers to choose from, if you wanted them alone they would make a good light lunch. We tried the houmous which came with beautiful fluffy baked dough sticks with peppers and celery.

We also had the chicken skewers because everyone has to have these as a starter. The Cajun spice was a little spicy but I’m weak with spices yet I liked these. You can also get these gluten-free too!
The last item we chose was the best of them all. I was blown away with the sticky chicken. Chunky fried chicken in BBQ sauce and served in these cute little egg cup holders. They were so tender and the glaze was yummy!

If you want something a little for filling or to share there are “sharers” as an option too.
Time for Lunch
Time for the showdown! I opted for the showstopper burger “The Smoke King”. Served in a ball of smoke, this bun has 3 beef patties, nacho cheese, crispy fried onions and chorizo ketchup. It’s certainly big!
I loved the crispy onions however the beef patties were a little dry. I’m not sure if this is because of the smoke gun that adds the flavour. Served with Skinny fries on the side, it certainly fills a hole.

If you don’t fancy something as heavy then why not try a salad from the selection.

We tried the Asian Duck Salad and it was served with toasted pine nuts and raspberries. With the added sticky Asian glaze its the perfect summer treat. We were naughty and got the added cheese and bacon fries too. which are always amazing.
I had no room left for dessert but I will be going back for the cookie dough s’more for sure!
You can check out the rest of the menu here but they have amazing lunchtime offers on EVERY DAY until 3pm. You can buy a selection of deals including Cheeseburgers with fries, Sandwiches, pizzas and risottos with a drink too for ONLY £6.25!!!!!!!!!!
*gifted
I’m sure I’m supposed to be looking at the food but just had to say how much I love your trainers!!
I can’t believe this but I’ve never ever had food in Revolution, only drink! I really should go shouldnt I?! It looks great and I do love how beautiful the building is!
Oh wow, this place looks amazing! Such a shame I’m too far from Newcastle to give it a try – you’d definitely have me sold if I liver nearer. x
