City Wonders

Set in 2004, the tours were set up originally in Rome. To showcase the best of the city and give the most memorable experience possible to the tourists. Breaking away from ordinary tours and overcrowing, they have grown into 7 different countries and cities. A number 1 experience worldwide by trip advisor I went along to the Harry Potter Tour to see why it was voted number 1.

City Wonders

City Wonders allow you to experience exclusive features and skip lines on many tours. One of the most popular tours in London is the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio tour.

As soon as you book you tour the instruction on where to meet are very clear and simple to follow. Once you arrive at your start location you can easily identify the City Wonders tour guide. They explain how your trip will go and guides you to the train, and bus to get to the studio tour. Expect it to take up to 1 hour to get to the studio however the bus is on a loop and you won’t be standing around long.

Once you arrive at the studios, you bypass the queues and are introduced to your studio guide. They give you your headphone and set so you can easily walk around the tour on your own terms in a small group. Once we were set up we skipped the main entrance to get head of the queues and straight onto the tour.

Our tour guide had all the inside knowledge and was prepared to answer any question. He was very enthusiastic about giving us the inside info and I learnt so much I didn’t know.

The tour takes you behind the scene on some of the sets including the Grand Hall and Diagon Alley. Trust me there are plenty of interactive stations and picture opportunities. There is also time to shop at many of the stores to buy the merchandise. You simply can’t go home without it.

Green Screen

Finally, One of my favourite parts was the green screen area. Here you can make your own broomstick video and even a wanted poster too.

The tour often changes so you can always expect new surprises. On this visit, it was Dark Arts season and as you can see the hall was decorated in a Halloween theme. There is also a demonstration throughout about the dark arts.

After you have finished the guided tour there are options to go back into the studios to look at bits you may have missed and to get those perfect pictures when it quieter. This way you really get your monies worth too.

Prices start from £135 per person and include transportation and a unique private guided tour of the studios in groups of 15 or smaller.

I wish I could see your green screen video! I can’t believe I still haven’t been on the HP studio tour… I’m so ashamed. Think I’ll need to check these guys out to change that!

The studio tour is literally one of my favourite things to do when I’m in London, I just love it and there is just so many details that you could literally walk around for hours and hours and literally never get bored at all. I really love the mulled wine that they serve in winter too, it is amazing x

The HP Studio is amazing! I’ve not done the tour but I have been around it myself and it’s brilliant. I imagine it’d be even better doing the tour too! I’m hoping to go again soon 🙂

I’m not a Harry Potter fan ( I read the first five books when I was younger and then I grew out of it), but I would gladly go just because I’ve seen so many positive reviews of this tour!

It’s one of my favourite places ever! I’ve been twice but never with a guided tour, seems like a great way to make the most of it!

I went to the Harry Potter studio tour a few years ago at Christmas time and I loved how they’d decorated the Great Hall to make it super festive! The whole studio is amazing isn’t it?! There’s so much to see and I was totally blown away by it all. I love the idea of having transportation and a private guide, what a cool way to get all the insider knowledge and to skip the queues. Definitely something to continue if I’m ever back in London!
