If you’re like me, then you want some quick and easy to cook. I am always in a hurry to get in from work and so hungry that I want a quick and easy meal. Especially on a Friday. Why not swap your takeaway for a steak or burgers!
I much prefer homemade burgers then those you buy from a packet. One of my favourite recipes and meals it’s easy to make burgers.
The prefer homemade burgers because you can get the taste exactly right. That’s why I choose 5% fat mince because the fat drainage is less and you can taste the flavouring more.
To add flavour I add salt and the Schwartz Steak Seasoning. It contains Black pepper, Garlic and ground coriander seeds. The great thing is that all these ingredients are in one container! You can make it as strong as you like but I prefer two tablespoons.
- Add the 5% Mince to a large bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of Schwartz flavouring and a pinch of salt
- With clean hands mould the mince in little balls and flatten with your hand making patty shapes. If you have a mould made for burgers this may be neater.
- Place into the frying pan and shallow cook on a low heat until brown and cooked through.
*if you have more time you could add chopped onion into your mix however I feel it can often take away from the steak flavouring.
To finish off my meal and keeping it simple. I like to add some slices of halloumi as a side and side of herb potatoes. ou can buy packets of these that take 2 minutes to cook in the microwave.
For a summer meal, you can BBQ the burgers and add a salad to the side.
You can buy Schwartz flavouring steak seasoning from Tesco who also stock other flavours too!
