Newton By The Sea is at the heart of Northumberland and home to the luxury wedding Venue and Hotel Newton Hall and their Brand New Garden Rooms.

Located just 50 metres from the hotel, the new Garden Rooms host 27 different size cabins for the ideal Northumberland Break away.
We headed up to the coast for a romantic night away and to get away from the hustle and bustle.
Each Garden Room is equipped with a flat screen TV, Wifi, Bathrooms and Noble Isle toiletries Egyptians cotton linens, a Nespresso machine and tea and coffee facilities and ALL rooms include a breakfast.

When you arrive you will notice a separate entrance to the Cabin Walk Garden Rooms directly next to the Hotel entrance. You can roam around both grounds by foot however there is a very different feel to the Garden Rooms. You’ll notice the fresh sea air and the tranquillity. You park at the reception cabin where you will be greeted by the receptionist who was really lovely. She went out of her way to make sure she told us the safest and easiest way to get to the town and make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Each cabin is accesses by a gravel footpath and you can ask for the staff to bring youre luggage on a cart if you need help.
The Garden Rooms
There are different cabin sizes available, some with or without hot tubs and some family and larger cabins that have kitchen facilities too. The maximum cabin they offer is the family and cosy garden experience which can accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children. It’s a brilliant spot for families as the beach is not too far away either. All Cabins are dog friendly so you can bring the whole family if you want!

We stayed in the Delux Detached Garden Room with Hot Tub. It has a lovely welcoming terrace where you can sit and enjoy watching other guests go by! When you enter through the slide door you enter into the main bedroom. The decor blends very well with the natural theme of the cabins with soft furnishings including the bed, seating area and desk area.

The curtains are black out giving a real sense of privacy when youre inside. Tucked away is the hidden wardrobes including an iron and ironing board and plenty of room to put your clothes. They another wardrobe hides the fridge to store any food and full tea and coffee facilities. You also get little extras which make the whole difference on a stay to me. These included cans of water and Northumberland chocolate!

Through the last wardrobe door is the secret entrance to the back of the cabin . It leads into your Bathroom and private terrace at the back featuring your fire pit and hot tub.
The bathroom is fitted with a walk in shower, gorgeous stone decor and noble and Isla toiletries.

The sliding doors take you out to your fire put and hot tub which is all ready for you to jump in. They prepare your tub to make it warm before youre arrival and the fire put has firelights already in there for you. They really do think of everything here at The Garden Rooms.
What I noticed was that even when I was inside, the decor and vibe made me feel like I was outside. We decided to relax, spend time in the hot tubs and snack on our night away. The next day we headed to the beach which you can enjoy a stroll along to or drive and park. the car park does charge however you can try and find a space on the road to park too. The Beachfront does has a bar however we decided to dine at The Joiners Arms, part of the same apartment group at Newton Hall Estates.

Breakfast
The Joiners Arms is also who provide a breakfast on your stay. You are given the option to walk down, which is only a 5 minute walk. If you choose this you will be able to get a full continental breakfast including a full cooked breakfast also. However, you can also choose a breakfast picnic delivered to your door of the cabin in the morning. To Ensure the staff do not disturb youre morning they simply knock to tell you that youre breakfast is outside.
We wanted to make full use of our stay and enjoyed and breakfast picnic and a well deserved lie in.

In our breakfast buffet we were given an option of a hot sandwich along with the rest of the breakfast. We had fresh Northumberland sausage baps for breakfast along with chocolate muffins, Granola, protein bars, fresh fruit and smoothies. We were very impressed with the breakfast and the size. It was more than needed so we packed our protein bars before we headed down to the beach.
Check out was 10.30 and we woke up feeling very refreshed. Just what we needed was a lovely romantic night away only an hours drive away from home.
